Project Description
Situation
The existing pavement showed signs of deterioration, including cracking, settling and loss of surface evenness, caused by increased heavy traffic and the pavement's lack of structural capacity. This situation affected the safety and comfort of traffic, as well as the logistics efficiency of the platform.
Solution
The solution involved milling 6 cm of the existing pavement, followed by structural reinforcement using a bidirectional carbon fibre grid (S&P Carbophalt® G 200/200) and a new asphalt layer. This intervention significantly increased the load-bearing capacity, reduced maintenance costs, and ensured greater pavement durability, directly supporting the efficiency and safety of the client’s logistics operations.
