The badly damaged interurban road was completely renewed between the verges over a length of 550 metres. All pavement layers were rebuilt. Only 4 cm of the partially intact verge area was milled and removed. The wearing course was paved over the entire width in two stages. To reinforce the pavement joint along the edge strip, S&P Carbophalt^® G was installed over a width of 1.50 metres. This homogenised the differently rehabilitated road cross-sections and could therefore counteract foreseeable crack reflections in the future.
