Project Description
Situation
The existing floor was significantly uneven and when the contractors were planning to screed the floor, they quickly realised that the existing floor would not be able to cope with the new loads that this screeding entailed.
Solution
The solution was to mill down through the existing screed down to the structural concrete where various S&P C-Laminate were bonded to the surface. Subsequently this installation was then covered up and levelled with a new screeding layer. This solution allowed the businesses located on the ground floor to operate as usual during the installation of the carbon fibre laminates, as well as ensuring that the intended aesthetics of the new premises were not affected at all.
