Spiral Car Park Access - Parkhaus P3 - Zurich Airport, Switzerland
With the 28-tonne silo and the associated machine technology from S&P, concrete renovations can be carried out economically, effectively and with high quality. This was particularly apparent in this spiral access road renovation project for the P3 multi-storey car park at Zurich Airport.

Project Description
Situation
Our partner, Specogna Bau AG, installed over 200 tonnes of ARMO-crete® w RQ+ in the P3 multi-storey car park at Zurich Airport for the renovation of the sprail access road. The challenge was to rehabilitate the spiral driveway on a minimum installation area and with the lowest possible emissions. For this purpose, the hard concrete had to be demolished on 13 storeys and reprofiled with concrete replacement. S&P mortar was used here. Finally, a surface protection system OS 8 was applied.
Solution
With the wet spray mortar S&P ARMO-crete® w RQ+, S&P Clever Reinforcement Company AG from Seewen SZ offers a class R4 product that is ideal for such repairs. The mortar is also ideal for other uses in civil engineering and tunnel construction.
Efficient Logistics
In addition to the use of high-quality mortar and professional planning and execution of the renovation, logistics is also a decisive factor for the successful completion of such large-scale projects. For this project, Specogna Bau AG had to process around 200 tonnes of mortar. Here, the use of the specially developed S&P Power Pump with silo pays off in many ways. The silo holds up to 28 tonnes of mortar, which is enough for several days, depending on the delivery rate.
Minimal Restrictions
The pump can be connected directly to the silo and the silo is filled from a truck. This eliminates the time-consuming unloading of mortar in bags on pallets or in big bags and there is no waste to dispose of or containers that have to be pushed back. In addition, the pump is loaded automatically, unmanned and absolutely dust-free. This is a big plus, especially in heavily frequented and sensitive areas such as airports, because the construction work only has a minimal impact on operations.
