As part of the concrete repair of the box girders of the Ganter Bridge in the canton of Valais, cathodic protection also had to be embedded. Before the actual start of the project, pilot tests were carried out to test the refurbishment systems.

S&P supplied the ARMO R4 sprayable mortar including pump and silo logistics. The silo in combination with our high-performance pump enables extremely efficient work with delivery distances of up to 100 metres.

The 678 metre long Ganter Bridge is part of the Simplon Pass road and was opened in 1980. The superstructure consists of a box girder, prestressed in the longitudinal and transverse directions, with a width of 10 metres and a height of between 2.5 and 5.0 metres.
