Pre-stress video

A few impressions from a project with pre-stressed carbon laminates in the canton of Schwyz, Switzerland: 126 S&P C-Laminates with a total length of 870 metres had to be prepared, pre-stressed, bonded and secured with end anchors. For pre-stressing and end anchoring, 2520 steel anchors were required.
During pre-stressing, a hydraulic cylinder put the laminates under a tension of 14 tonnes. Special clamps ensured that the tension remained constant, so that the cylinder could be removed, the end anchors installed and the adhesive allowed to cure.
