Thanks to a research project initiated with various partners in 2019, S&P have been able to successfully prove the use of milled asphalt granulate containing fibre residue from S&P grids in the creation of new asphalt wearing courses.

A real road test section including S&P asphalt reinforcement grids was installed back in the summer of 2019 for the sole purpose of milling it, processing the milled granulate and then ultimately using the processed milled granulate in a new asphalt course – again in real road conditions.
