Situation

The city of Zurich has an extensive walkable wastewater pipe system, which is to be rehabilitated step-by-step over the coming years. The approx. 100-year-old pipe on Uetliberg street is egg-profiled (1000/1500 mm), made of in-situ concrete, and about 350 m long.

Solution

In stages, about 3 cm is grinded off the concrete pipe interior walls using high-pressure water jets. Next, the channel bottom is refurbished with a Kera-Line ceramic plate while the remaining surfaces are reprofiled by wet-spraying abrasion-resistant mortar S&P ARMO-crete w RQ onto the old concrete profile. Positioning the S&P ARMO Power Pump directly at the S&P silo prevents dust-related nuisances in the urban environment.

Material

approx. 250 tons of S&P ARMO-crete w RQ
