Description

S&P Tecnogrout-K is based on mineral products, is ready to use and can be applied by trowel or spatula for use in concrete repair, reinforcement, restoration and refurbishment.

Due to the product's high adherence, installation is possible onto any surface, e.g. concrete, ceramic, stone etc. Also, the water tight properties of the product protect the substrate from various forms of attack.

Features

  • Non-shrinkage (slight expansion)
  • Water-resistant
  • Unaffected by various atmosperic agents
  • Sulphate-resistant
  • Chloride free
  • Monolithic adherence to concrete
  • Stable against hydrocarbons and specific chemical compounds
  • Good chemical resistance to seawater, wastewater, sulphates
  • Allows vapour diffusion

Application

  • Reinforcement and repair of concrete structures
  • Filling of wall grooves and pigtails
  • Repairing of prefabricated elements: chips, honeycombs, cracks, etc.
  • Finishing of rough concrete surfaces
  • Rendering of façades, swimming pools and basements
  • Setting of metallic plates
  • Roadways at water treatment plants
  • Repair of walls and exposed concrete
  • Renovation of pipelines and hydraulic works

Safety Data

  • For detailed safety information it is recommended to seek advice in the current safety data sheet.

Application Instructions

  • Substrate preparation:
Mechanically abrade concrete surface to completely remove debris and loose particles. Wet the surface until complete saturation is achieved and allow standing water to either evaporate or be absorbed into the substrate. Alternatively, remove standing water using a sponge.

    Mixing:
Mix the grout either by hand or in a concrete mixer, adding 12-14 % of water (3-3.5 litres per 25 kg bag). Mix until completely lump-free, ensuring that a homogenous mix is achieved.

    Application:
Apply the grout by means of trowel or spatula, or alternatively pouring the grout onto the concrete substrate. Finish the surface to the required roughness grade. In case a bonding agent is required, it is recommended to consult to our Technical department.

    Curing:
Once the grout is installed, surfaces must be kept damp for at least 10-12 hours, in order to prevent superficial dehydration of the cement.
